Figurative Speaking is a show that explores five artists interpretation of life as drawn from the past, present and future. Featured artists include: Mark Barry, Mary Bourke, CCBESS, Sabre Esler, and Susan Romaine. Together, the artists' paintings create a dynamic show that is sure to captivate and energize the viewers.

Mark Barry makes his debut at Jules Place with paintings that invoke a smile and a laugh. His paintings and titles hint at real pleasures that often go unnoticed.

Mary Bourke’s paintings reveal glimpses of her past and often depict life as she remembers it growing up in Maine with her family.

CCBESS continues to deliver rich paintings with hidden emotions and stories. As her gestures line the canvas, some stories are exposed while others lurk in the shadows to be discovered at a later date.

Susan Romaine captures the splendor of the night using bold contrasts that reveal lights of the evening and colors of the day. All of Ms. Romaine’s current paintings carry a message of Freedom in the title emphasizing the importance of life and liberty as we know it today.

Sabre Esler’s paintings recall places and memories from the past and include European street scenes as well as echoing interiors . All of Ms. Esler’s paintings have a textured surface that give the paintings and older presence.
